  ATTORNEY SERGIO A. CARANO APPOINTED TO VICE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF AKRON

The law firm of Amer Cunningham Co., L.P.A. is pleased to announce that Sergio A. Carano has been appointed to Vice President of the Board of Directors of the International Institute of Akron, Inc.  He will serve a one-year term.

Mr. Carano began serving a three-year term on the Board of Directors in 2006.  He chaired the committees responsible for the selection and transition of the new Executive Director recently announced by the International Institute.

Mr. Carano’s legal practice includes employment law, labor relations, business transactions and litigation.

Since 1916, The International Institute of Akron, Inc. has been a non-profit agency that assists immigrants, refugees, and foreign born in Northeastern Ohio.  The dedicated, professional staff and volunteers provide immigration and employment counseling, English language education, interpreting and translation, and refugee resettlement to the community.  For 90 years, the International Institute has been preserving the spirit of the “American Dream”.
