ANDY DUFF ELECTED TO HUDSON BOARD OF EDUCATION

 Andrew R. Duff was elected to the Hudson Board of Education during the November 2001 election.  His term will expire in 2005.

As a member of the Board, Mr. Duff will have a legal responsibility for providing an educational program for the youth of the school district.  The Board is responsible for establishing the policies of the Hudson City School District, which are then carried out by the superintendent and the administrative staff.  The Board also decides how the revenue of the Hudson City School District is spent, and when it is necessary to got to the voters for additional tax dollars.

Mr. Duff has been active in numerous leadership roles in Hudson.  He was a member of Hudson Village Council for nearly eight years and served as President from 1991 until 1994.  He served on the Hudson Village/Township Merger Commission in 1988 and 1992, and a   member and past director of Hudson Jaycees.  In 1995, he served on the Hudson Charter Commission.  He has been active in coaching Hudson Fast pitch Softball for a number of years.

He and his wife, Paula, have two daughters.  One is a graduate of Hudson Schools and the other will graduate in June 2002.

Mr. Duff is a Shareholder with Amer Cunningham Co., L.P.A., located in downtown Akron.   Amer Cunningham Co., L.P.A. provides legal counseling in a variety of areas including: business and corporate law, real estate law, employment and labor law, public law, tax law, workers’ compensation, civil litigation and appellate practice.
